The Laser Tools 3307 is a 2-piece specialized socket set designed for the removal and installation of freewheel alternator pulleys (OAP). Modern alternators use these "overrunning" pulleys to reduce vibration and belt wear, but they require a specific tool to hold the internal shaft while the outer nut is turned. This tool combines a 1/2" drive M10 spline bit to lock the alternator shaft and a 33-tooth union nut that is turned with a 17mm or 19mm spanner. This allows for pulley replacement without the need to disassemble the entire alternator, making it a major time-saver for belt and pulley service.
