Pro Power Oils. Are you baffled and astonished by the variety and expense of motor oils these days? Well so are we ! At Carspares we have introduced a range of equivalent oils to the more popular 'grades' of oils used in most of todays more demanding engines and to help you with the costs of these oils and help simplyfy the choices there are to make. Be it 5w30 semi synthetic or 10w40 semi synthetic 5w30 fully synthetic (and long life options) along with 5w40 fully synthetic and for the 'older' design of engines (always check manufacturers guidelines) 15w40 mineral oil and 15w40 diesel mineral oil. Even with this small range we have barely scratched the surface of some of the more exotic options specified by the vehicle manufacturers these days but as a Comma oils supplier you can bet we have the right 'grade' of oil that is required. We also stock Castrol and Mobil oils should you demand it! What do we mean by 'grade' well the first digit in 0/5/10/15/20 states how thin the oil will be in the viscosity ratings once it reaches operating temperature,the second digit 30/40/50 etc is how thick the oil wil be when cold (these are for normal temperatures and not for exceptional circumstances),also there will be an API rating stamped on the packaging which tells you how refined the oil is such as SF or SG etc, as a rule the later the second letter 'better' the oil.Then we move on to Mineral or Synthetic oils , synthetics are again more refined and are of a better quality than mineral but should not be used in place of mineral oil if the manufacturer specifies to use a mineral oil in the engine.  BACK TO OFFERS/NEW PRODUCTS»
