Catalyst Legislation. A change in the law!! From The 13th Of November 2009 it becomes illegal to sell to any person or business a catalytic convertor for a vehicle registered (not manufactured) after March of 2001. The goverment has decided to 'improve' or bring in a minimum standard of manufacture of the aftermarket catalyst that many manufacturers such as Bosal,Timax,Walker and BM Cats can provide to us and ultimately you the customer. This means that all catalysts that are to be fitted to vehicles after March 2001 must be 'type approved' and be provided with documentation to attest to that fact also. We have started to stock these catalysts already in order to provide as smooth a transition from the previous laws to the new ones being introduced as possible. Vehicles registered before March 2001 are as yet unnafected and none 'type approved' may be fitted in these cases.
